Karaage, or Japanese fried chicken is made by marinating bite-size pieces of chicken in sake, soy sauce, ginger and garlic before coating them generously with potato starch. When fried, the starch turns into an ultra crispy shell encasing a flavorful juicy bite of chicken.

Microwave – Alternative Method
- Arrange 10 to 12 nuggets in a circular fashion on a microwave-safe plate.
- Cook nuggets on high for approximately 4 minutes. (Approx. 1000 watts)
- Turn nuggets once during cooking.
Cooking / heating times are a guide and vary depending on your appliances. Allow to stand for 1 – 2 minutes before serving.

3 tablespoons light soy sauce
3 tablespoons mirin (Japanese Sweet
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, ground
1 teaspoon miso paste
1 teaspoon garlic, grated
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
Combine all dipping sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix. Cook Karaage by preferred method per instructions on pack. Serve with dipping sauce
